Lunacid is a first person dungeon crawler inspired by old FROMSOFT games like Shadow Tower and King’s Field.
Long ago a great beast arose from the sea and covered the earth in a poison fog. Now those deemed undesirable are thrown into a great well, which has become a pit of chaos and disease. You awaken in a moonlit subterranean world, having been thrown into the Great Well for crimes unknown. The only way out is to go further down and confront the sleeping old one below. On the way there will be many creatures and secrets to discover.
Death is an enemy in Lunacid that can appear in the Mausoleum located in the Accursed Tomb if the player stays there for too long. Death takes the appearance of a typical depiction of the Grim Reaper: a robed, skeletal figure wielding a scythe.
Unlike any other enemy in the game, Death is unable to be killed unless the player attacks it with the weapon Limbo, which will instantly kill Death. Death may spawn as long as the player is inside of the Mausoleum. Once they appear, the message “Death Approaches” will appear on screen, alongside a purple fog and foreboding music.
Once this occurs, Death will chase the player until they use a Crystal Shard, warp somewhere else with a Crystal, or exit the Accursed Tomb through a door to another area. Although Death spawns exclusively in the Mausoleum section of the Accursed Tomb, they may still chase the player outside of the Mausoleum and into the other parts of the area. Death is able to move through walls and becomes progressively faster the longer they have been chasing the player. Once they become close enough to the player, Death will inflict Bleeding and Cursed on the player.
