Before your eyes are the first person’s narrative adventure to tell the story of a soul trip to the hereafter using a new and innovative form of interaction – your real life blinks.
The story begins after your death, on the boat a mystical Ferryman assigned to the souls of the shepherd to the hereafter. To help you continue, he must first study the story of your life. So, he sent you back to revive your most important moments.
This game uses your webcam to immerse you in this story in a way that you have never experienced before. You will learn to control the flow of narratives with your actual eyes – blink through family valuable memories, first love, and the appearance of artistic careers. But soon the Ferryman would suspect you did not show all he had to see. So he will force you deeper into the dark niche of your most depressed memories, in the end revealing the heartbreaking truth.
By combining its innovative mechanical interaction with a charming world and a completely followed up story, before your eyes are a very emotional and relative trip – one about the impossible expectations we place on ourselves and regret we carry with us.
For a longer version of the game, titled Close You, Receive awards Game Developers Choice at Indexade and Award Students at the Independent Game Awards (IGF), before receiving funds through a successful Kickstarter campaign.
